Run, it screamed inside Halef and she grabbed her sister's wrist in panic, but she shook her off with the words: "Let go off me."
For a short moment, Halef felt the need to move out of the water as quickly as possible, crawl out of the pool and flee from the vestibule. She would leave Huld behind to let her experience the consequences for the behavior she was now displaying. Because her appearance was madness. But Huld was her sister, she couldn't leave her alone, could she? She was their flesh and blood! Yes, Huld was two years older than Halef, but she, as the younger one, had always been the one who had taken care of her older sister. She was not of a simple disposition, but she was passionate and full of emotions, so that she always acted before she thought. This had already brought her into one or two awkward situations, from which Halef had always freed her, but still with difficulty.
And even here now, in this situation, where Halef realized that both of their lives were at stake, it seemed as if Huld's mind had failed. And she didn't know if she would be able to get her big sister out of this situation unscathed.
"Don't you dare touch me again," Huld shouted at that moment and when Halef heard her sister's words, her heart seemed to stop.
"And what should stop me?" she heard Teárlach ask softly, his voice tinted with a mix of a threat and obvious pleasure. Slowly he walked through the water directly towards Huld, who now unconsciously took a step back. She still didn't realize the danger she was in, but her body, her subconscious, was aware of it and reacted. Halef, who was standing behind her, slapped her hand over her mouth in fright, her eyes wide open.
You stupid, stupid thing, she thought in panic and her eyes filled with tears. You're going to kill us with your behavior... And at that moment, Halef made a decision. She would leave Huld behind, flee, never look back again, but she had to get out of here. There was no way to save her, she realized that as she watched her master slowly move towards her sister. And it reminded Halef of a wolf that slowly and deliberately approached its victim only to tear it apart in the next moment. She had to leave her own sister behind to save herself. And at the very moment when the young girl had made this decision, Teárlach fixed her with his amber eyes over Huld's shoulder, raised his right hand, and whispered: „Impero tibi!“ (*I rule you)
With eyes wide open with horror, Halef stared at her master and saw how he stood in front of Huld with only two big steps and put his left hand around her neck, how his fingers forcibly pressed themselves into her flesh, which was damp from the water. The frightened gasp that was squeezed from Huld's throat filled the hall with an unwholesome echo and seemed to creep into the innermost part of her younger sister, whose heart contracted painfully. Halef noticed the pain, every further heartbeat was agonizingly slow and also that she breathed in and out. And yet she couldn't move her legs, her arms, or her entire body.
Everything inside her was screaming to escape, the need to get out of this vault was comprehensive, but she couldn't move, couldn't even lift her little finger. Halef heard the blood rushing in her veins and perceived the fear spreading rapidly through every fiber of her body. The smile on her master's lips was mocking, the sparkle in his eyes was amused. She wished she could close her eyes, but she also knew that with those unknown words she had never heard before, he had absolute control over her body. It was similar to the feeling when she had heard his voice inside her. It took over her body, all-encompassing, controlling, occupying the space her consciousness once had.
Teárlach pressed his fingernails into Huld's skin, felt the skin burst open from the unbearable pressure and his fingertips squeezed into the open flesh. In her eyes he saw the tortured scream stuck in her throat, unable to bring it over her lips.
Ah, this sweet, sweet pain I can see in her eyes. This agony in her blood, I can smell it, he thought with a grin, then he locked his eyes with her. "Oh, you dumb, dumb slut," he whispered and shook his head as if he felt sorry for her.
"Did you really think that your extremely brazen behavior towards me would go unpunished?" Teárlach laughed. "And that your cunt would be so irresistible that you could speak to me without being asked?" He shook his head repeatedly and looked at her reproachfully. "You remind me of someone who spent many nights with me in my bed. She was full of passion, a nice bedmate for a while, but then she was too sure of herself," Teárlach whispered, leaning forward and sliding the tip of his tongue along Huld's ear, while his fingers pressed further into her throat and blood squeezed through the narrow rim between his fingers and her flesh. "She thought she had me in her hand. As if it would be enough to spread your legs for it," he chuckled.
The blood that slid down from the neck wound over her moist body slowly mixed with the water in which Huld stood. A soft whimper glided over her full lips, her gaze fixed with fear. Teárlach's hand was still around Huld's neck as he slowly pulled her towards him so that his mouth was close to her ear and whispered, "Do you know what happened to her?"
Huld could not answer her master, as her throat was so squeezed by his hands that she could not utter a word. She was only conscious, as she was breathing in panic through her nose. Her eyeballs rolled to the side so that she could see Teárlach's face, as he tilted his body back a little to give her a better view of his face. She hoped that she could make him understand with her look that she was completely clueless and that she would never have come up with the idea of behaving like the stranger he was talking about. She hadn't had any special status in mind, she just wanted to have some fun. An unfathomable smile was now on his lips as he spoke the following words: "She died. That poor, poor girl died."
Teárlach looked at Huld, his eyes burned into her innermost being, her heart became heavy as a panicked fear clung to her heart like an iron grip and slowly squeezed it together, breath by breath. "And it was my hands that caused her to die. Oh, what a pleasure it was to see my fingers around her neck. A small jerk, a tiny but nevertheless powerful movement to the right or left ... and your life fades away in the next moment." Teárlach closed his eyes for a breath and a light shiver ran through his body. "I'll never forget the feeling of what it felt like under my fingertips when her bones broke." He opened his eyelids, looked at Huld and tilted his head a little to the side as if he was thinking about what his next step was. Halef, who was still trapped in this unbearable rigidity, feared that her master had already made his decision about Huld. She couldn't hear his words, because he had bent over to her, but she assumed that it did not look good for for her or for her sister.
An ominous glow could be seen in his piercing yellow eyes and Halef closed her eyes in agony. She knew how he had decided and this knowledge in her wanted to be shouted out into the world. She wanted to scream, curse, cry, ... but she could not move, could not utter a sound. Teárlach, meanwhile, bent back to Huld and smiled with pleasure when he saw the frightened twitch in her blue eyes. If it had been possible for her, if he would allow her body to do so and loosen his grip a little, she would have flinched and her knees would have slumped away as his absorbing nature approached. As it was, however, she remained rigid in the grip of his fingers, unable to make a single movement in panic. The ruler's son himself enjoyed the feeling that it would only take a small amount of pressure to break her neck. Was she aware of that, now that he had confessed to her that he had already killed someone the same way.
He didn't believe it, because Huld was gifted with extraordinary beauty, but not with a great intellect. Her younger sister would have been the better choice, Teárlach reflected. Maybe he should make short work of Huld and turn to Halef? She reminded him of a young fawn. Innocent, curious and so very easy to use and break.
And as shocked as she had stared at him when he had enjoyed himself with her sister, he was absolutely sure that Halef was still a virgin. Hm...
Teárlach looked over Huld's shoulder at Halef, who resembled a marble statue. Her eyes moved in panic from left to right and when she felt his gaze on herself, she looked at him. Teárlach noticed that Halef's blue eyes reflected recognition of the decision he had made.
No... no no no... The panic washed over Halef like a breaking wave, taking her breath away, making her heartbeat so fast that she felt like it was going to jump out of her chest. A helpless sob caught in her throat and she closed her eyes.
Whatever happens, I won't look at him. I won't...
A tear slipped from the corner of Halef's eye and ran down her cheek. I won't ... won't look at him...
Open your fucking eyes and look at me, it screamed in her head and Halef would have shook her head defiantly if she had been able to do so. But as it was, she kept her eyelids closed, tried to press them tightly together. In the next breath she felt something inside her, something she couldn't describe, crawling through her head behind her eyeballs. Something narrow, almost slippery pushed forward behind her eye, glided past it, pressed into her eyelids and tore them open. Teárlach's dark gaze burned into Halef and suddenly a shrill scream broke out of her throat, surging through the vault like a storm.
By the nine hells, Teárlach cursed when he noticed that his concentration was waning because Huld's sobs were suddenly heard. His left hand was still like a claw around her neck when he suddenly thrust his right arm forward, past her body, fingers spread wide apart. "DETONO!" he shouted in a dark voice and instantly a wave of pure, magic-generated energy shot into the candlelit vestibule. In a fraction of a breath, this darkened abruptly, as the energy wave extinguished all flames, candles and candelabras and they fell over with a loud crash in all directions. All the vases that stood in the Sacred Hall shattered with a loud clatter, while some murals burst open, marked by thin cracks because this wave of energy hit them with such force that even the stone could not withstand it. Only in a fraction of a moment did Teárlach see the wave of pure magic spread from his body and hit Huld, whose body seemed to slump briefly under the spell. His grip was merciless and he felt under his fingertips how his magic caused a massacre in her body.
Blood dripped from Huld's ears and the next breath she took sent a burst of warm blood splashing over her lips. With a cold smile on his lips, this confirmed what Teárlach had longed for, because all her ribs had been smashed into dozens of fragments under the force of the energy wave and had perforated her lungs and heart. He tilted his head a little to the side to hear better and listened as her lungs and abdomen filled with blood. "What a delight," he whispered enthusiastically. It had been the first time for him that he had used this spell against a person - or in this case against two - and a deep, almost lustful satisfaction filled him. He seemed to have destroyed not only the rib bones, but also numerous internal organs such as the lungs and heart. The liver, intestines and kidneys had also suffered immense damage under the wave of energy that had hit them. Téarlach imagined with a satisfied grin how the servant's innermost being resembled nothing but a mush of destroyed innards and shattered bones. Huld, who was only standing up in the water, as Teárlach still held the iron grip around her neck, spat out more blood with another breath, which hit his face, neck and chest. He smiled. The sigh that slipped from his blood-spattered lips sounded excited.
The elf's gaze slid past Huld to Halef, who lay opposite him on the edge of the stone wall. The wave of energy had hit her with such force that it had thrown her out of the pool and smashed her against the wall. She lay on her stomach on the wet stone floor, her simple linen dress hanging on her only in tatters. A bone protruded from her left shin, bright blood seeped out of this wound incessantly. As twisted as her body lay on the shard-strewn floor, Teárlach estimated that her pelvis was also broken by the impact of the edge of the pool and the stone wall; possibly even several times. He closed his eyes and concentrated on Halef. The ruler's son listened to her rattling breath and the steady stream of blood, which also filled the abdomen and lungs like her sister's. He couldn't read a clear thought in her anymore, but there still seemed to be a remnant of the will to live in her, because her fingers tried to press into the ground and her leg twitched as if it was trying to support itself and push the lying body forward. Escape was the last thing Halef had apparently thought.
Hm, I could almost feel sorry for you, Teárlach thought, then shrugged his shoulders and loosened the grip on Huld's neck, which slumped and slid into the water.
Teárlach looked down at himself, looked at her blood on his chest, and then stroked it with the tip of his middle finger, which he finally brought to his lips. With a pleasurable breath, he tasted the metal, salty taste on his tongue, licked his lips several times so as not to ignore a drop and then stepped out of the basin. While Huld's body floated in the water and her younger sister Halef was in her last breaths, Teárlach went to the pile of clothes that were now lying on the floor, soaked and wrinkled. He grabbed his pants, slipped into them and then walked happily to the door. When he opened it and saw himself facing a tall elf, he nodded to him. "I assume you know what you have to do?" Teárlach asked and the soldier nodded, a small smile on his face. "The best thing to do is to throw the corpses into the sea. The older one is dead, but the younger one is still alive, just barely," he continued and saw the sparkle in the eyes of the elf who answered to the name Dolguruk. And he had heard that his older brother detested him. So he was exactly the right man for him. "You can do what you want with her, I don't care. Just make sure you don't leave any traces and that the hall looks like it did before. If you need coins, contact the bailiff, who will hand them over to you without asking any further questions." An obedient nod from Dolguruk, but he took note of how he kept staring briefly over his master's shoulder to see what was waiting for him in the vault behind it.
A man exactly to my taste, Téarlach thought as he stepped through the door, past the soldier who was now entering the vestibule. As the ruler's son walked through the corridor with a smile on his lips, the tearing of the fabric and the lustful grunts he heard sounded like a dark euphony of lust and greed in his ears.
Thank you.
