meet mr. karma
Jan. 20th, 2010 08:25 amyesterday i was in a strange situation. i forget to talk about it yesterday because i was so flashed about vivo city and the concert ticket.
but okay, here is the story.
yesterday morning, when i waited for alecs, i sat on the singapore river, ne? so, i was totally in peace and relaxed and so on ... as suddenly a monk stood next to me. he talked about inner peace and gave me a piece of paper, where i've read several names, the countries and a number.
he talked the whole time about being peaceful and gave me a sticket. than he said ... donation -_-
I really didn't want to give him money because i don't like it to get forced. but damn, he was a monk. and i am pretty sure they KNOW why they are wearing monks clothes :|
So I gave him 10 dollars *sigh*
he actually wanted 20 (!), but i said to him i don't have more money. he wanted to give me a bracelet and 200 dollars for it o___O
so, wtf. i told him the whole time i don't have more money and finally he left. i wasn't really angry about myself. more like, oh god anke, why can't u say *no* when u are really feeling like that?
so, when alecs and we walked through the vivo city mall, we saw a monk again. and we had this conversation.
alecs; do u see him? those guys are really bad people.
me; why?
alecs; because they are giving u things, talking about donation but they are forcing u (and your bad conscience) to pay for it actually. and then they taking this money to get drunk and fucking around with prostitues
me; *sigh*
alecs; what's wrong?
me; i guess i made a monk a little bit happier today -__-
alecs; hach ankiiiiiii
XDDDD
so, for the next time i will say i don't have the money for it!
actually a young guy came at vivo city to me and asked me for donation and this time i sat *NO*! U see, I've learned pretty fast, ne? XDDD
