Yes, I got to visit several, including the one in Nuernberg. I have put real candles on my tree several times, which always amazes Americans. I have some wonderful German ornaments, too - blown glass of course, but also porcelain, metal, wood, and straw. I am not a religious person at all, but I like to entertain guests by setting up a tree and putting some antique dolls under it. Of course, they were all made in Germany, too!
Oh wow, cool! I would visit the christmas market in Nürnberg! It looks always so beautiful, but so many people at one place? Scary ^^ Once I've visited the christmas market in Frankfurt/Main. It was okay but way too many people for me ^^ I have one here in the near of my town. It's nice, so I'm fine with that ^^
That sounds so peaceful. One of the best things ever is to decorate the christmas tree for me ^^
As a short person, I don't care much for crowds, either, but I usually went with several great big soldiers, and we made a point of going at the least crowded times, such as when the weather was bad. Or maybe, after some gluehwein, we didn't have any common sense!
< Did you like Glühwein? XDDD> Very much! Also hot spiced apple cider, Frankfurt apfelwein, federweiss...let's face it, I like German food. You cannot get a real Thuringerwurst or bratwurst in this country - very sad.
