Yes, I got to visit several, including the one in Nuernberg.
I have put real candles on my tree several times, which always amazes Americans. I have some wonderful German ornaments, too - blown glass of course, but also porcelain, metal, wood, and straw. I am not a religious person at all, but I like to entertain guests by setting up a tree and putting some antique dolls under it. Of course, they were all made in Germany, too!

Oh wow, cool! I would visit the christmas market in Nürnberg! It looks always so beautiful, but so many people at one place? Scary ^^
Once I've visited the christmas market in Frankfurt/Main. It was okay but way too many people for me ^^
I have one here in the near of my town. It's nice, so I'm fine with that ^^

That sounds so peaceful. One of the best things ever is to decorate the christmas tree for me ^^

As a short person, I don't care much for crowds, either, but I usually went with several great big soldiers, and we made a point of going at the least crowded times, such as when the weather was bad. Or maybe, after some gluehwein, we didn't have any common sense!

Very much! Also hot spiced apple cider, Frankfurt apfelwein, federweiss...let's face it, I like German food. You cannot get a real Thuringerwurst or bratwurst in this country - very sad.
